I've read the bible many a times. and I'm the first to admit that I don't fully understand comprehend it but I don't recall anything about the any of the old testament talking about an earth centered universe.
galileo was "hated" because he pointed his telescope towards the sky, which was considered to be sacred.
call it closed minded, of the people in power at the time.

regardless of whether i am Christian or not, believe in the Bible or not, ive read it several several times and it does not "teach" that earth is the center of the universe.
