9006 in the high beam?? why????

Make sure you get the numbers right here.... it's kinda backwards.

The 9005 is a 65watt bulb, clear and uncovered for highbeams.

The 9006 is either a 50 or 55watt bulb with the tip usually covered and is for lowbeams.

And to really answer your question.... with 10 mins, a Dremel and a small grinding stone I make 9005's work in my 9006 sockets :rick: ..... so I would assume that you could reverse that and make 9005 work in a 9005 socket too. So....... probably yes.
