your supposed to drink a fruit smoothie an hour and half before you workout and immediately after you work out. The fruit in the smoothie is more important than protein after the work out cause the fruit sugars in the drink rapidly remove and process the acids built up after a workout. This promotes faster muscle growth. Your supposed to workout in the afternoon or mid evening. Not right before bed.
