First of all I've worked since I was 15. Had to pay for my cars, insurance, clothes, etc by myself since then. Went to college as I could afford it, still haven't finished. But atleast I don't have school loans. I've never been one to waste money. Usually bring my lunch to work everyday, even my own sodas. Never bought a new car. All but 1 car I paid cash for.

Basically I don't buy shit I don't need like designer clothes, and a new CD every couple days. I like to cook at home rather than pay $25+ for a steak somewhere. I bought my first house at 22, and my girlfriend lives with me so that helps. You just have to establish a goal and work for it. Write down everytime you spend money for a month. Then look back and say did I really need that? Add all the no's together and you'll be surprised how much $$$ you can waste in a month.

Cliff Notes: Don't buy shit you don't need, instead of charging or paying intrest save up and pay cash
