I work full time in a very large corporation and make a very good salary. I don't spend much money modding my car, I have very few mods, just a few nice things I wanted to do to it. My car is paid off fully. My undergrad school is paid off. I am two classes away from finishing my MBA and that will be paid off before I am done with my last class. All of these things have been paid for solely by myself. I live at home still and I am 25. I could be out on my own if I wanted to but I would not have all of these things paid off and I would be paying a ton of money on interest. I also pay rent to my parents for living in their home so don't think I am a moocher or anything. I am saving up and already have started a very nice retirement package for the future as well as been saving for a downpayment on a place of my own that I will buy in the future. I think it just all depends on your plans and what is most important to you.

I don't know how the rest of you feel about your families but I love mine very much. They are wonderful. Sure we have our disagreements and and fightes every now and then but it isn't enough for me to justify being in debt and moving out. I help around the house and give my parents a breather when I am able to do things like mow the lawn or cook dinner for everyone. I have my independence because my parents know I am 25 and what I do is my own business.
