The way you descibe the pedal feel, I would definitely check the fluid first and the clutch master cylinder second. The cmc is on the firewall where the fill reservoir is and is what your clutch pedal attaches to.

It's hard to troubleshoot the noise you described because everyone describes their noises differently but.....

My Clutch master cylinder is going bad due to it being old and the fact that I have an ACT heavy duty pressure plate which helped to make it go bad sooner than it would have... anyhow, occassionlay it makes like a groaning squeek when I push the clutch in. I know it's going bad because of the sound it's making as well as there is an oily residue around the rubber piece where the plunger acuator comes out and attaches to the clutch pedal.

Again I would advise checking your fluid, check for leaks at the master or slave cylinder and also check the master cylinders plunger rod area on the inside of your car where the pedal is before buying a new pressure plate.
