KFC claiming that fried chicken is healthy?!?!?!
I've been seeing a bunch of KFC commercials lately that give the impression that fried chicken is suddenly the new miracle diet food. They quote some fat content numbers and stuff and very very very quickly mention that they're talking about a boneless skinless chicken breast. Then they show a piece of fried chicken getting sliced and then a dude diggin into a bucket of original recipe. They even talk about how it's a great source of protein for your low-carb diet.
There's another one like, a wife says to her husband sitting on the couch, "You're gonna start eating healthy now," and then she plunks down a bucket of chicken in front of him. He's like, "cool" and digs in.
Now I'm pretty sure most people understand that fried chicken is not healthy to eat. It kind of pisses me off that KFC is trying to mislead people based on all the low-carb crazyness that's been floating around lately.
This is painfully misleading advertising. I mean come on, they're saying freakin FRIED CHICKEN is a health food!
