Well, I want the car to be a little faster (of course), but again, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Are there any simple filters, additives, fluids that I should add right away?

Will intake make a diff with the year of my car? Are there any engine tweaks that can be done that won't hurt the engine, but when you drive it you can feel a difference? I am planning on slowing totally redeveloping my car into showroom quality, but I want to get the car up to a "close to mint" shape with the engine and interior.

I am planning on getting new all season tires (for our cold winters here in MANITOBA). Should I be getting different spark plugs and wires? Newer oil filters? I appologize for my lack of knowledge in this area, but I want simple quick solutions I guess.
