the problem with placing HID's in aftermarket projector's is that the housing may melt from the heat. They would sometimes even melt from just a higher wattage bulb. From personal experience I can tell you that no matter how much higher the wattage on the bulb is for the projector beam is, it doesn't change the fact that they are dim.

I think if you are gonna go with an HID kit, just place it on your stock headlights. Nothing can beat the quality of OEM.
