Yikes! That much!? My car had 73066 on the odo when I got it so I sent it in for its 75k service, and that only cost me $210...and $100 of that was fixing a damaged window track. I just had the 82.5k service performed and that was $160.
BTW, Doc, you'll prolly know the answer to this:
Ok think of someone just learning to drive a manual...they can't balance the clutch and gas yet, so as they are trying to get it right, the engine revs dangerously low, around 300rpm, and starts shaking/rumbling like a bull. Now take that sound/vibration, and apply it to revs between a .7k idle and 1.5k...that's what my car is doing. In any gear, it shakes like no other in those revs. I told them about it when I sent my car in for its 82500 service, but they gave it back saying they couldn't even duplicate the symptoms, but that they "tightened anything near my linkage and transmission, including heat shields." The problem persists.
Do you think a motor mount could be loose? Exhaust pipe rattling maybe? Hell if I know. It's a pretty much stock D16Y8.
