Humans cannot accept perfection as stated in the first Matrix movie as well as in Schwangins previous comment.
If you remember the Matrix was designed with perfection in mind but millions were lost, entire crops destroyed, because humans have to have a certain amount of strife in their lives...its what causes them to fight, to want to live, to make it another day
