Raised Roman Catholic, catechism, yadda yadda, confirmed in 9th grade.
Haven't been back since. I believe church is important for families and the education of children, but after a certain point I really don't think it's neccessary. I've read the bible upwards of 10 times and there's really nothing I'm going to get out of church aside from the homily.
In my opinion, regular church attendance is actually detrimental for most people. You end up with Sunday Christians, where they go to church and "do their time" and the rest of the week they totally ignore their religious teachings.
