For the first time? WTF? Honda has been using it for the past 4 years in the Insight and in the last couple with the Civic Hybrid.
Honda will not build a V8. They will build a drivetrain with the power of a competitor's V8, but they will not build a V8. Honda is staunchly pro-environment, and are very concerned about gas mileage...it would be asinine to build a V8 this late in the game.
If you want reference, go to the news and rumors forum and just do a search...the V8 debate has gone on twice in the past couple years, and the concensus each time has been that Honda will never, ever build a V8.
