I am still leaning towards that there is a possbility Honda will put IMA on NSX in an year or two after its new release. Maybe a reworked C32 engine or a new 3.5L with 320+ power for a weight little closer to the Type-R version. That will be a very strong competiton to wrestle with likes 911 & GTR. Also be aware that the new 911 won't be around until 2007 or 2008. So there is a room for change
Considering that a Z06 weighs in at roughly 3200lb and comes with 400hp, and costs about $51K, I'd like to see te NSX, which costs abot $90K, come equiped with 400hp off the bat. Same goes for the 911, by the way. That is very doubtful, if it is equiped with a 3.0 V6 and no IMA, which is too bad.
Obvoiusly the NSX is far more refined than any Corvette ever was, but it's still a sports car. I'd like to see it compete with the Vette in all measures of performance, not only handling (in which it will probably outdo the next version of the Vette). And I'd like to see Honda not wait 14 or 15 years for the next update.
Either way it's sure to be a great car, and it'll be exciting to see what Honda does with the production version.
