A 1.8" would look pretty good. Anything more and you can encounter tire rubbing (depending on rim size) scraping, curbs, ect... I used to have Neuspeed race springs on my Sol. 2.25" drop. It was a bit much. Now I have the Skunk2/Tokico Illumina set-up, and I think it is about the best you can do without going to something like Tien.
