well wtf did u do to kill ur engine? i'm happy w/ my F23...but then again it came in my car from the factory...
you had an F22 before correct? i don't know what aftermarket parts you had on it but some of them may be transferrable to an F23 (fuel rail, cam gear, some pulleys are all same part #s), looking at how many posts and hearing how you phrased your question it sounds like you already have a knowledge and aren't a noob so i may have just wasted my time w/ what i just said
i haven't heard of too many people swapping an F23 INTO their car...so i'm not 100% sure what you would have to do with the ECU...if nobody gives you a straight answer here i'd suggest calling honda i'm sure they could tell you what would work
OBD2 sucks try to avoid it haha
i think F23's are a good engine to replace with because they're a dime a dozen...they have decent power but are a bitch to mod because there aren't all that many parts out there for them (compared to H22 or something to that nature) and once you go extreme with them (internals and such) most of it has to be custom which is mad expensive...
if you're not looking to go wacko w/ the engine go for it...if you are then might as well spend the extra cash now and get an H22 cuz i think it'll be cheaper in the long run...
i'm sorry if i went in a direction that your question was not intended...if you were just trying to figure out if the f23's 5 extra HP was a good investment for the same price then yeah i think it is so long as you don't have to spend a bunch of money getting it to run since it's not intended for your car
