Yeah, over on the Honda side the 90+ Accords and 92+ Preludes use cable shifters. That is one of the little things that make H and F series swaps into a Civic or Integra a little bit more difficult.

I've seen a 1G DSM shifter assembly, those things don't look very fun at all.
