This one time, I was playing a DiVX movie... it was 2cd's, and I played the first disc and then had to switch to the other disc. But when I started playing it, it was the same as the first one. I figured I burned it wrong. So I tried the 2nd cd on another computer, works fine.
Here it turns out, XP had cached the whole cd into ram and was playing back from ram instead of reading the other cd. I had to reboot just to finish watching the movie
