A fellow Mustang owner passed on this guys signature (a member of this board) to me, which is full of parts from my sig. The fact that he copied some of my mods doesn't bother me because honestly anyone can buy the parts it's the fact that he changed them around and some don't even work together and they would never produce the ET he claiming and that he copied my best ET and MPH down to the hundredth is what bothers me. Anyways here is the signature that he uses.
2002 torch red Mustang GT 5speed, mac cai, steeda u/d pulleys, bassani x-pipe, MAC longtubes, Bullitt Intake. magnaflow mufflers, steeda t/a@15 degrees, steeda tri-ax,bbk 70mm tb. FMS 4.10 rear.SPEC Aluminum Flywheel.UPR Pro Series Suspension,UPR Tubular K-member. New nitto 555's.
1/4 12.47 @ 108.56
And here is mine that I've been using since April when I ran that new best ET and MPH.
VRS O/R X, Dynomax Bullets, Steeda Pulleys & T/A, C&L 80MM, 4.30s, UPR Pro Series Suspension, UPR Tubular K-member, MAC longtubes, Bullitt Intake, TKO, SPEC Aluminum Flywheel
12.47 @ 108.56
First thing a 70mm TB is a upgrade that only works on the stock intake he "has" a bullitt intake which uses a stock dual bore 57mm TB from a Cobra or the Bullitt Mustang. Either way that TB will not work with it, in fact it won't even come close to bolting up.
Next a MAC CAI, which happens to be one of the biggest wastes of money for power on a natuarlly aspriated 2V GT, won't work on a bullitt intake with the correct TB they don't make one that fits the Cobra or Bullitt.
Next anyone that knows drag racing knows that an aluminum flywheel is good for reducing rotating mass but at the strip in a full size car (3200lbs or heavier) will hurt your 60 foot times unless you are running slicks and can launch the car at 5500 RPM's or higher so this guy saying he's using Nitto DRs and an aluminum flywheel is BS. The car would flat out fall on it's face without launching at least at 5K or higher at that would burn those tires down the track from that RPM and that gear ratio.
Next is the UPR Pro Series suspension uses all aluminum and steel bushings which are made specifically for drag racers that run on slicks and do rev limiter type launches not guys running DRs.
If that isn't enough proof I'd like to see him produce some time slips. Fact is the fastest bolt on 2V GTs in the country running slicks at roughly a 3150lb race weight and are going 12.3-12.4s and there are only about 3 of us. This guy claiming he's doing it with DRs, BS parts that don't match and numbers that conviently match mine is just that BS! Sorry but I've worked my ass off on my car for what little work it has and I personally didn't think that you all would like to have members like this guy coming on the board and lie about what he really has. People like this show up on the Mustang boards and give out bad advice and in the end only hurt the members even though they are just trying to get some attention.
As for my credibility here is a link to my web site
http://users.adelphia.net/~mustang-92/ which has most of the details on my car, magazine article, videos, blah, blah, blah you get the idea. I'm also fairly well known on the majority of the Mustang 4.6 web forums, Corral, Stangnet, etc...
