I have a 94 Accord EX with an automatic and was hoping someone could help me trouble shoot my fuel gauge. It registers fuel levels fine until it has 1/4 of a tank left, then it drops below Empty for the remainder of the tank. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Is there anyway to test the gauge? Could it be a problem somewhere else?

One more question. How many different fuel gauges did they make from 94 to 97? I bought one identical to mine in everyway except the depth of each. The part numbers were also different. My original was a HR-0186-001 and the one I bought was a HR-0187-001. So it didn't fit. Any suggestions? Thanks.
