did the sound ever go away? or get quite since you put the miles on>>>

No, it still sounds the same. I don't pay attention to it anymore, I turn up the radio and crank the AC...lol :-) I did start up a few other Accords with well over 100k (to ensure the belts were replaced) and they didnt sound like that...wich bothered me a little. But like I said, Ive put 10,000 miles on the car since, and it seems to be doing fine so far. Others have commented on the sound when I have everything off...they too say it sounds like a mini supercharger. I just call it whining.
