out of these three which would you reccomend on a budget?


I have a friend who saw my b18 and is interested in a swap. I gave him tons of info on each of these motors...

the b16a 92-95 supercharged with aftercooler, etc.
the b18c gsr 94-01 turbocharged with intercooler, etc.
and the 96+ type r engines with built up components...

with a limited budget... around 4500 total, which would you do?

i reccomended to him the type r... ride stock for a while and upgrade as you go, but he's not into the idea of dropping that much into JUST THE ENGINE...

so i guess he's stuck between the b18 and b16.... I'm not familiar with the b16, so being an owner of the b18 i reccomend that...

can the b16 put out as much power?
