trailing arms run lengthwise with the car..attach to the drop a-arm in the back.

when you push your wheel up and down you should see two large pieces of metal moving...the one heading the center of your car is what i call the lower a-arm -- which i donno is right, and then the trailing arm is just what it sounds like...the one that runs parallel to your "trail."
