Adding bose would not be fun, you'd need wirring from the deck to the amp (the base RSX does not have an external amp) and then from the amp to all the speakers. But its more than just that... the bose headunit only puts out a VERY low level audio signal, so it is very easy to introduce noise into the system, not just any wirring would do.

do either of you have Bose? guessing not since you're saying it's a waste of time.....Bose is very much worth it and sounds extremely good
