It mainly depends on the car, and how much trouble you want to deal with as far as room/manipulation of the axle removed versus attached to the A-arm. Normally when I pull an axle it's to replace it, so I couldn't rightly tell you how often it works, I just know that on some of the cars you can get away with unbolting things as a unit to get enough room to pull the axle out of the differential.

:thumbup: Honda's aren't hard to work on, now Jaguar's, MG's, and select toyotas... that's another story [See, I was even nice and left BMW out of my PITA list , lol]
