If they are the stock oem struts, they were not designed to hold up to stiff shock. The stiffness could make them blow eventually. Going from your 1.2 inch drop, the h&r's are going to be stiffer.

Just turn your wheels and look in at the stut. What color are they? Do they say anything on them?
