yea the only way to get this thing off is to cut it...it took me about a half hour or so with a hack-saw. that thing was on there for good. i really dont believe anyone can just pull it off with brute strength. so if anyone is planning on doing this in the future, dont bother looking for any simple way to slip it off. best thing to do is grab a hack-saw or maybe a dremmel tool might work
