I do look at the numbers, but on my current cluster the tach only goes up to 8000 so the numbers don't even go as high as the engine's redline.

Until i can find myself an SI cluster for cheap, will be reading the numbers. Although it should be funny to see any buddie's face when they see the tach needle hitting around 7000 at times before i shift

Btw, on those engines, what is a good street driving shiftpoint while still getting good power? I don't want to damage my brand new engine after all

Reason i ask this is because the last time i drove standard was almost 15 years ago and it was an old WW2 truck, i have a strong suspision that driving a standard civic will be somewhat different :driving:
