Turbocharging a high mileage engine...
Hey guys, as you probably know by now, my teg is not exactly the youngest car here...it has 156,000 miles, all highway (the previous owner used to drive from cali to chicago twice a month), but it still runs very tight, and acceleration is nothing less than violent.
Anyway, I am going to turbo charge before the end of the summer, and I wanted to get your guys thoughts on charging an engine with that many miles.....I do not plan on running too much boost though.....What parts should I check/change before I do it ? How many pounds of boost do you think it is safe to run on it ? Do you think with that many miles I should just stick with a T25, or can I go bigger ? Should I just swap the engine out, or can I do it with this engine ?
