I have seen dudes use paintbrushes to get the dust out of cracks. If you have crusties try a toothpick or something with a very sharp point.

On my exterior I have crust of wax, I am not too enthusastic about poking it with a sharp object. I would think that it could chip paint so I dont know how to get it out. Do you know?
