Obviously maturity tends to come with age.

What I'm saying is that in upper middle class suburbia I've seen way too many 15- or 20-year marriages go to shit for whatever reason and just as catastrophically if not more so than what can happen to people who get married "too young" and stay together for less than 5 years.

I know it sounds pessimistic but it's mainly why I know I want to be DAMN sure that I'm doing the right thing when I get married because I've seen too many families that I'm close with get fucked up beyond recognition.
