pop the fuel filler door, and remove the gas cap to help remove pressure buildup
go to fuel filter
there 12 mm bolt that goes into a bigger 18mm bolt. bust the 12 mm bolt loose, and it'll remove pressure completely, and you will get some gas coming out of it.
there is a copper washer for the bolt so watch for it
after that bolt is off, get a long 18 mm wrench and bust the larger bolt off (watch for the copper washer again), to get the fuel line off the filter.
the hard line coming from the firewall should be next to the piece you just took apart. i believe that is a 14 mm nut. take that off and now the fuel filter is ready to come out.
the holder for the fuel filter is easy. there is a bolt that screws the roud part of the holder to itself. just remove that bolt and the filter will fall right out.
easy install.
some later version of the eg has fuel filters similar to the ek's and the gsr where the hard line is bolted at the bottom of the filter. that's the only difference i know of.
