Default 1991 accord ignition problems

Under hot weather conditions my 1991 accord EX with 140,000 mi will not crank. The motor turns over but seems to be getting no fuel. Most of the time waiting for 10 minutes is enough to allow the engine to crank. This problem has existed since the car was purchased in 1998. Initially the problem was sporadic but now is quite frequent. I have just replaced the high pressure fuel filter and distributor. No computer codes show up to diagnose the problem. Engine light stays on too. Gas cap tightened correctly. The time interval required to start the car seems to be increasing from 10 minutes to several hours before the car will crank.
