just some quick ideas.

the night before you start this, go to the car wash and use the engine cleaning stuff they have and then rinse, but don't pull the handle back during this, just leave the pressure low. you should really do this a lot to make sure you're not developing leaks.

grab a 16 oz coke/pepsi bottle and rinse it throughly. as you loosen the coolant lines, drain them into the bottle. anti-freeze is BAD, BAD stuff to have on the ground. especially if you have dogs/cats or kids that like to play in the dirt. when you're done, dump it into the over flow (or check to see if it's full at the cap). also, whenever you mess with your cooling system, there's a VERY remote possibility of air locking it (where an air pocket gets into the cooling system and locks it up). not likely with what you're doing here, but keep an eye on the temp for the first miles.

for cleaning, go to a honda motorcycle shop and get honda pro-polish for the paint work where your stock box sat and carb cleaner into a clean rag to clean your throttle body's mounting surface. using the wrong cleaner is like trying to get your dad's standard tools to fit your metric bolts. you can get it to work, but is it worth it...

ill--which sensor? the two-wire sensor (that unclips right by the short ram tube?), or the longer air-metering sensor? it looks like the sohc vtec's need the one with the two wires to measure coolant temp so it can measure air intake temp against engine temp. if your short ram is for an dohc vtec, they probably won't have that part of the directions, i know i didn't have to do that for my dc sports short ram.
