the V6 is a great highway cruiser. the auto tranny is a bit problematic and is well documented. (the problem only occurs in under 3% of the Accords though) to compensate for the tranny, Honda issued an extended service plan on the 00 and 01 models which covers them for an additional 7 years.

if you're looking for something to last, get the i4, 5 speed, 6th gen. if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing to cruise in ... get a V6 EX.
