The reason that i'm wnating to do this is because i need room to mount my oil filter cause i'm relocating it also because on the SH block it is a pain in the ass to get to so that is one reason. Also i plan on mounting it where the spare tire go's so it can be bolted to the frame and then run the wires away from the trunk to the underside of the car.

The amp idea doesn't bother me a great deal that can be corrected with proper wire runs
