that mileage sounds horrible, especially since that car was designed during the gas crisis years and that is unacceptable mileage for any honda 1.8 L regardless, much less a carb model. u may have a bad sensor or emissions system that is eating gas

hey boomer, thanks for the info. we dont have emissions here in Lincoln NE so i cant tell you if it would pass or not. but im pritty shure it wouldnt just from the way this thing runs.
i checked out that link to majestic honda website and it looks like tyey have lots of parts, but maybe not many people purchace parts for an 83 prelude. when i look up the parts (example: carburator, it shows a picture of a fuel injection manifold for a different motor. when i search for "front shock absorber" it shows me a parts scematic of wheat looks like a shifter assembly or a clutch assembly. :dunno:
