I'll probably unbolt the release then rebolt it, which means no taking out the mats for cleaning.

I have one problem I want help with: my trunk unlatches, but won't pop open. I have to turn the key and lift the trunk. Is this because the shocks are dead? After I push the trunk down some it actually pulls downward with the weight of the trunk. What can I do to fix this?
