If you live in a cold winter weather climate, you should already know how to adjust to winter driving practices. Having a manual at your disposal, even without traction control, is a definite plus. You shouldn't have problems so long as you use winter tires, and if the weather is bad, always keep the car undergeared so it can't rev freely, and you should be o.k.
