I remember reading something about why Japan named their Accord the Euro R and not the Type R. They wanted to differentiate them from each other since at the time (98-02 6th gen) the Euro Accord and the JDM Accords were different in styling. Essentially, the Euro R and Type R Accords are the same in performance and have the similar engine. Someone should know about this more than me. :dunno:
