DO NOT REMOVE THOSE GAUGES!!.... IF YOU TAKE THE NEEDLE OFF YOU WILL **** THEM UP, AND THEY WILL NEED TO BE RECALIBRATED..... no i've never done it.... and i don't think it can be done because that peace is just one piece,you can't put anything under it, plus it wouldn't make a diff, because ur gauges don't glow.... a light shines down on them
