yeah, I figured. As for being great speakers, I've always wanted a set of A/D/S/'s (sounds childish, I know), but when I put a set of 4 1/2 Cerwins in the doors of my mule 87 DX lude, I had to use my friend's A/D/S/ covers, (felt like i was living a lie), and since then, wondered what it'd be like to ACTUALLY HAVE a set of the legendary speakers. I figure for now, the 6 1/2s in the back (thinking either 346is or 236is) and the tweeters in the dash, any ideas what I should use for the doors? I can't seem to find standalone 6.5s from A/D/S without the tweeters, and since I'll already have tweeters with the components, I don't need another set. As for the power, I figure the amp that comes with the comps. should do fine, then I can just run the doors off of the head unit, will that work? I forgot. Maybe down the road I'll purchase the VTEC rear panel and throw a nice 6x9 in the back, but I think the A/D/S/'s will cover me for sound and quality.
if you are gonna get an ads comp set, put the woofer from the ads comp set in the door, not the rear deck. you will fawk up the sound if you put them back there and the tweets up front. Secondly, dont just hook them up to the wires, utilize the crossovers that are provided.
as for the rear deck, DO NOT USE 6x9's!!!!! sorry but they are just horrible. a nice 6" will seriously own it. If you are added subwoofers to the trunk, then just get a 6.5" coaxial speaker set for the rear deck, but you prolly wont need rear speaks (except for rear passengers) if you give the ads enough juice. If you don't want to add subwoofers, then you might wanna look at throwing an 8 or 7 in the rear deck for some thud.
might want to look into image dynamics chameleon comp set. quality is better and the midbass is more present. plus you can mount the tweet on the woofer and forgoe the whole dash thing. I plan on using this comp set with 150 watts per speaker and an idmax 12" in the rear deck..hopefully

need any advice lemme kno
