Check out some of the cars on this forum, and see what you like. If you've got a sizable chunk of dough, Josh's (westcoaststyle) sedan is something to strive towards, if youre more into road racing, Bumnah's car is very well prepared (although he doesn't race it). If youre more into buying something modest, and working with what you've got, there are some very nice (and fast) turbo SOHCs on the board (Jkan, SleeperCivicEX, etc...) If you want something with a good motor to start with, an integra GS-R is a great platform, a Civic Si (99-00) a little less so. Or if you've got a little more money, an RSX-S or Integra type R are great.
Just spend some time on the board, check out everyones car, and decide what you like and what you don't like, and then go from there.
