i just bought my Sol and heres the lowdown on the years, the models are pretty self-explanatory:

93: first american year, aux lights, worst year for quality not only beacuse of age but design flaws as well (rare issue for honda but for some reason the 93' just aint the greatest.) the tops had a recall to fix leaking, check if the owner has done this before considering.

94: not much diffrent, VTEC came out

95: last year for aux lights, redisigned to fix the roof and other problems you wouldnt expect in a honda. interior trunk latch installed for first time (very handy when dealing with the top) personally i think this year is best .:naughty:

96: change in airdam look, slight length increace slight power increace in s and si to a 1.6L

97: last american year, its gonna have less miles than any other normally just because its been driven less. i think its the best year if you dont like the look of the aux lights.

overall a Del Sol can be a great car no matter what year you get, each ones gonna have its own quirks and oddities. some older models will never leak, some newer ones leak like a sieve. but leakage would be the most common complaint i know of from solers, that and all the people who want to take your car because its just that great.

this place will help alot, plus you can get opinions from people actually know their stuff so will http://www.teamdelsol.com/
