That said, why do you want to replace your OEM torque converter with an aftermarket unit?
Probably because he wants his car to be faster but with an auto.
What I'm thinking is that the ZEX torque converter does is just make the flow of automatic tranny fluid rotate quicker by changing the angle of the blades in the torque converter on the turbine side. This does generates more torque.
