Default Help: springs and plugs

I lowered my 97 Lude for autocross several years ago with the Eibach Pro Kit springs (1.4 drop) and liked them very much. Combined with a bigger rear anti-sway bar, it was a very nice mod. Now I am thinking about lowering my 99, but am seeing the Tein S-Tech springs (same drop) at about half the price of Eibach. Tein wasn't available in 98, so are these two similar in quality/performance?

Also, it is time for some new spark plugs; what is the best thing to put in the Lude? I have bolt-ons only (intake/header/exhaust) and burn 93 octane. I'm not interested in spending an arm and a leg on plugs, but I can get a set of NGK Iridium IX for about $25. Is this good bang for the buck, or is there something better?

Thanks,
~Kelly
