yea.. MD just changed this a year or 2 ago.. they were all horizontal, with a line that said Under 21. Now all under 21 kids get a vertical liscence, then when you turn 21, you get a horizontal.. i dont know if the horizontals have changed in styles though... cause the crab is a new feature.. and the layout is new on the vertical liscence.
