I think there's probably room for the Scion coupe and the Celica to remain in the Toyota line-up. With the Scion coupe they can go after the "tuner" crowd and offer sportier performance at a fairly low price. I doubt the coupe will be a great performer out of the box anyhow. The Celica can then probably move more low volume, but sold in higher performance trim only. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they shared platforms and engines.
