Our sabbath is Saturday instead of Sunday. "Days" actually go from sundown to sundown so Saturday starts when the sun goes down on Friday. We have a small service on Friday night, a big one Saturday morning, and a small one before sundown on Saturday.
We go to what is referred to interchangeably as a synagogue, temple, or shul.
