if you are the original owner, the dealer gives you 2 cards with 2 white stickers about an inch by half an inch, each of which have your radios 6 digit code. you have the option of putting the sticker on the card and keeping it in a safe place or placing the sticker on a door jam or somewhere you can access it when you need it. if you lost the stickers, which are small, you are outta luck and have to pay. if you are not the original owner, the previous owner may have stuck the sticker on a door frame, in the glove box, ect.. look around for the sticker, you may just luck out and its right there.
